Hours Per Week: 8 hours per week (4 hours over the weekend, 4 hours during the week to be agreed)

Hourly rate: £13.23 p/h (gross) weekday, Weekend £16.54 p/h

My profile

My name is Eli and I'm 21 years old. I enjoy going for walks out in nature, listening/watching birds, and being in quiet spaces. I don't enjoy loud noises, busy places and conflict with people. I have a diagnosis of Autism which means I sometimes need a bit of extra help when I'm outside and doing things, I am also sometimes not very good socially especially with new people, but once I get to know someone, I am much more confident speaking to them. I aspire to work in conservation/out in nature and enjoy doing volunteer work related to that. My preferred method of contact is via phone call, email or text message. I am not very good at eating out in public so would not want to go to restaurants or cafes.

What are the duties?

Accompany me on trips to local parks/nature reserves.

Support me to improve my confidence being out in the local area.

Help me to develop my confidence in going into local shops and other facilities.

Work with me to develop my social skills when interacting with people I don't know.

Support me to locate and apply for volunteering opportunities.

Requirements:

An understanding of autism, OCD and the anxieties that these can result in.

An interest in being outdoors and in nature.

Patience and understanding.

Any age and gender is fine!

Being able to drive would be beneficial.
