Personal Assistant - Galashiels - 3080

We are looking to recruit additional part-time personal assistant(s) to join a team who help an engaging elderly lady in Galashiels maintain her independence at home. She needs help with personal care, meals, and companionship. The priority will be to help her remain safe in her home.

Timings are flexible, although it would be preferable if the morning visit was after 9.30am.

Personal assistants are encouraged to get in touch with their availability to see what routine works for both parties.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• To support with general needs including dressing, washing and meal preparation
• Prompting of medication
• Develop a positive relationship with the client

Skills and Experience

Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role.

Package of Care Requirements - 24.5 hours per Week

• Daily visits of 1.5 hours each morning, for personal care and breakfast, showering twice per week.
• Daily visits of 30 minutes each lunchtime to heat and serve pre-prepared meals
• Daily visits of 30 minutes each teatime to prepare and serve main meal
• Daily Visits of 1 hour each evening for personal care and bed

• 5.6 weeks annual leave, calculated on a pro-rata basis.
