Personal Assistant - Coldstream - 3014

An elderly gentleman living at home in Coldstream is seeking a reliable and friendly Personal Assistant to provide companionship and light support, helping him remain comfortable and independent in his own home.

He would particularly value someone who can offer good company and a calm, reassuring presence.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social interaction
• Ensure the gentleman is safely seated if he experiences a coughing spasm
• Support with short outings or trips if he wishes
• Promote safety and wellbeing at all times
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the client's dignity

• Warm, friendly, and approachable
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Patient and understanding
• Able to use initiative

Skills & Experience

• Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal qualities
• Any background in care or similar support would be welcome but not required

Terms

• Hours: 4 hours per week
• Working Pattern: Flexible days, preferably afternoons (to be agreed)
• Rate of Pay: £13.20 per hour
• Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
• Probationary Period: 6 months
• Appointment: Subject to references and PVG / Disclosure Scotland check
• Mileage: 45p per mile if own vehicle is used for outings
