We are looking for personal assistants to support a 21-year-old male during the night.

Currently we are looking for 2 PA's to share the week but this can be discussed with the applicants.

Our client has autism and a learning disability. Our client can often be awake during the night so tasks within this role are ensuring his safety during these times, keeping him company, and helping him get back to sleep if possible. Our client has limited communication but can understand when someone takes time to communicate with him.

Our client enjoys sensory play and storytelling, which may be used during the night if he has awakened. He also enjoys spending time on his computer.

Safeguarding our client in this role is very important. Someone who is observant and experienced with challenging behaviours is essential in this role. An applicant who can be a calming presence to our client when he is agitated is also essential. There will be personal care as part of this role.

Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Experience with individuals with autism is also essential in this role.
