Job Description
Overview

Leggwork is supporting a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure improvements across Heathrow Airport. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and delivery on major UK projects, they are seeking a Permit Coordinator to support a live Bus Depot Regeneration and Section 278 Highways scheme, with further secured works anticipated at Heathrow beyond the initial programme. The business has delivered major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the UK and continues to invest heavily in both safety and employee development.

  • Supervise site teams and subcontractors throughout delivery

  • Act as the key link between permit requirements and on-site operations

  • Support delivery across bus lane regeneration and Section 278 highway works

  • Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme

  • Promote a safety-first culture, stopping works where risks or uncertainties arise

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and operational teams

  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

  • Maintain accurate records and permit documentation

  • Strong understanding of permit-controlled infrastructure works

  • Experience within highways, utilities, or civil engineering environments

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Strong commitment to health and safety best practice

  • Full UK driving licence

Ideal Candidate

  • Utility Surveyor looking to transition into supervision

  • Permit Coordinator with highways experience

  • Site Supervisor with utility mapping qualifications

  • Someone who prioritises safety and quality over programme pressure

  • Comfortable working within highly regulated environments such as airports

What's On Offer

  • Weekly pay available (£23 - £25 per hour equivalent)
