Senior Staff Nurse - Critical Care Unit
Leeds

£28,000 - £31,000
We're looking for an exceptional Senior Staff Nurse with the ability to inspire others to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
Reporting to the Senior Sister you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team. You'll get to work with some of the best clinical talent around and experience with new practices, equipment and facilities, all of which are maintained to our high standards.
- Provide day to day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students of the department.
- Work scheduling/rotas.
- Involvement in recruitment, induction, performance review, attendance management, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Competency assessment, training, development and the mentoring of staff.
- Ensure work is carried out efficiently and to agreed working practice and protocols.
Located in the city centre of Leeds with excellent transport links to the surrounding area, this Private Hospital is a highly successful state of the art building with 70 en suite bedrooms and an 8 bedded critical care unit, which accepts patients from a range of specialities, including patients who have undergone cardiac, general or neurological surgery.
Requirements- Nurse/Practitioner qualification
- NMC Registration and Pin
- Qualification in teaching and assessment
- Professional management qualification
- ILS/ALS
You'll have experience of multispeciality surgical procedures, plus further professional training, experience and, preferably, a qualification in a specialist area. You'll also have excellent clinical skills and experience of being in a mentoring role.
Like us, you believe in putting people first. So you'll be a great role model when it comes to giving care - taking the time to fully understand and meet each patient's needs, and showing others how to reassure and support patients and their families. This is the type of care that comes naturally to talented practitioners.
You'll be an excellent communicator and team worker - flexible and motivated. As part of the wider hospital team, you'll interact with practitioners from other areas because you understand that continuity in patient care is key.
