The People Services (PS) tower is a dynamic operations team with a purpose to provide best in class advisory support & HR solutions to our employees by ensuring efficient process completion at all stages of the employee lifecycle, while adhering to our principles of customer-centricity. People Services teams are working closely with People & Culture, Legal, Digital Services, CoE Business Partners, Workplace Experience, Purchases & Invoice, Payroll Partners, and People Services in-market teams of different countries.

With respect to People Services operations in the Budapest Hub, the following areas are covered on a European or Global scale:

  • People Life Cycle Management

  • Knowledge Base Management and Employee Query Handling

  • External Workforce Management

  • Global Learning Services

  • Quality, Performance, Employee Master Data & Reporting

  • Mobility Services

Main responsibilities of the role:

Reporting to the Head of People Services of Budapest Hub, People Services Manager France is a second-line manager position, responsible for HR operations for France geography serviced from the hub, leading a current team of 15+ Generalists and supporting ongoing transitions until end of the year to lead a prospective team of 45+ Junior, Senior and Specialist Generalists, through multiple Team Leaders. The Manager and her/his team closely work with the in-country People Services teams and management located in France.

Responsibilities of the Team:

  • Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Employee Support & Issue Resolution

  • Projects, Compliance & Knowledge Sharing

  • Applying French labour law, collective agreements and French Sanofi local agreements as required

  • Service Delivery & Resource Allocation - Ensure smooth operations, set priorities, allocate resources efficiently, and support transitions and enterprise projects.

  • Performance & Talent Management - Monitor service quality, evaluate performance, address training needs, and drive employee development.

  • Employee Engagement & Culture - Foster collaboration, recognize contributions, promote inclusion, and support retention strategies.

  • Leadership & Coaching - Guide and coach team members, provide clear direction, and support career growth.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement - Promote a mindset of process optimization, identifying and eliminating redundancies.

  • Support Automation & Global Projects - Participate in automation initiatives and ensure smooth transitions.

  • Manage & Monitor Improvement Log - Oversee entries, assign ownership, track progress, and showcase implemented actions.

About you

  • Sound and proven experience in HR functions preferably in an international multicultural environment

  • Team supervision experience gained in a Business Services environment

  • HR Expertise & Compliance - Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes, GDPR, and experience managing HR/People Services teams in a Business Services environment.

  • Technical Proficiency - Hands-on experience with HR systems (Workday preferred), query handling tools (ServiceNow preferred), and advanced Excel skills.

  • Customer Service & Problem-Solving - Strong query handling and ability to address customer needs with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Organizational & Analytical Skills - Ability to structure, prioritize, and manage workloads with attention to detail and precision.

  • Leadership & Team Management - Ability to motivate, develop, and organize team members while representing the function to senior stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement & Change Management - Action-oriented approach to driving efficiency, solving problems, and implementing improvements.

  • Graduate or Master's degree with HR or Business Administration

  • Fluent in French and English (both verbal and written)
