People Manager

This role offers the chance to shape and deliver a people strategy within a high-performing commercial environment. Working across teams and stakeholders, the position supports both operational excellence and long-term capability building.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and delivering the people and organisational agenda across the business.
• Supporting recruitment, workforce planning and talent management strategies.
• Acting as a key advisor on employment law, policies and people-related matters.
• Managing payroll coordination, benefits administration and reporting processes.
• Overseeing recruitment processes, including coordination, onboarding and candidate management.
• Supporting learning and development initiatives, including training programmes and career progression planning.
• Managing employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, performance management and absence.
• Maintaining HR systems, records and reporting in line with regulatory requirements.
• Supporting employee relations matters and advising managers on best practice.
• Leading or contributing to people-related projects aligned with business strategy.
• Promoting employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and organisational culture.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' HR experience and hold, or be working towards, a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent). They will demonstrate strong knowledge of employment legislation, ideally within Guernsey, and experience supporting a commercial business environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work both strategically and operationally.
