Job Description

The Head of Curriculum, Collaboration and Improvement is a newly defined role providing strong, credible system leadership to advance equity and excellence across education in Merthyr Tydfil. Working strategically with schools, leaders and wider partners, the postholder will lead collaborative approaches to school improvement, support schools to strengthen and refine their curriculum offer, and build collective responsibility for improving outcomes across the system. The role also provides strategic oversight to key areas including the Governor Support Service, Welsh in Education/Welsh standards and School Collaboration and Improvement Partners, ensuring these functions are fully aligned with the wider school improvement and corporate agenda. This is a unique opportunity to join Merthyr Tydfil Education as we continue to embark on an ambitious education strategy that strengthens partnership working, deepens coherence across the system and raises expectations for every learner's success.

Qualifications: Ability to speak Welsh is desirable. You will be required to provide evidence of all qualifications specified as essential.
