PCV/HGV Mechanic

JMB Travel are a family-owned business. We operate a mixture of local bus services and SPT contracts across Lanarkshire and beyond.

We are currently looking for reliable, time-served PSV/HGV Mechanics to join our team based at our depot in Newmains, Lanarkshire. The hours would be as follows -

Working hours: 45 with overtime available

Requirements

A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1 & 2) (Light vehicle skilled mechanics will be considered for alternative position)
Ability to multi-skill within an Engineering environment.
You must possess a full UK driving licence.
A PCV licence or the willingness to gain a PCV licence is desirable.
Experience of working with buses and coaches would be advantageous, however, HGV and light-vehicle mechanics should also apply.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
Carry out routine vehicle servicing and examinations to DVSA standards.
Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns.
Have the ability, to work at the highest Health & Safety standards.
