Description
12-month fixed-term contract. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and accurate payroll service across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive first-line advice to employees and managers within the business.
- Support the processing and running of end-to-end fortnightly/monthly payrolls, including the collation and distribution of timesheets for both direct employees and labour-only subcontractors.
- Support the department in all aspects of administration, including onboarding and offboarding, while maintaining and updating payroll systems.
- Ensure all payments, such as pension contributions and BACS salary payments, are made within set deadlines.
- Produce and distribute management reports.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing on a regular basis.
- Keep current with payroll legislation and HMRC requirements, updating procedures accordingly.
- Previous payroll experience is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good understanding of statutory payroll requirements.
