Job Description

A confidential employer is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to support the delivery of an accurate monthly payroll and contribute to wider people focused operations. This role requires a detail driven individual with strong technical capability, sound judgement, and the confidence to act as a trusted point of contact for pay related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and processing of monthly payroll data within required deadlines.
  • Assist with calculations relating to additional hours, statutory leave and other pay variations.
  • Produce essential payroll outputs for authorised internal and external recipients.
  • Handle pay related queries through appropriate communication channels.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure alignment with statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Contribute to reporting, process consistency and continuous improvement activity.
  • Provide informed guidance and support during periods requiring additional expertise.
Experience Required
  • Proven payroll administration experience within a busy, deadline driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence managing recurring payroll cycles.
  • Employee lifecycle processing including changes, benefits and pension related updates.
  • Clear communication skills for handling sensitive pay queries.
  • Data and systems capability with proficiency in spreadsheets and payroll/HR tools.
  • Experience with payroll platforms (any recognised system experience considered).
