Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a Payments Product Owner to join their team for a nine-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

You will be responsible for delivering omnichannel payment experiences through our payment gateway.

• Backlog Ownership: Maintain and prioritise the product backlog for payment method features and enhancements.
• Requirements Definition: Translate strategic product vision into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders, including engineering, compliance, operations, and commercial teams, to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
• Delivery Oversight: Partner with delivery teams to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of payment features.
• Agile Practices: Operate within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), participating in PI planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in a fintech or payments environment.
• Strong understanding of payment methods and gateway technologies relevant to corporate merchants.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
