Patient Service Advisor

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Patient Service Advisor to join our supportive team.

Main duties of the job

Provided front-line reception support within a busy GP surgery.

Responsibilities included welcoming and assisting patients, handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries, booking and managing appointments, processing patient information, and directing queries to the appropriate clinical or administrative staff.

Maintained confidentiality at all times while delivering professional, efficient, and compassionate customer service in a fast paced healthcare environment.

Excellent customer care skills are essential for this role, as you will be providing a high standard of reception and patient service to our registered patients. This is a varied and rewarding position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.

• Has excellent customer service and communication skills
• Is friendly, professional, and confident when dealing with patients and colleagues
• Has good organisational skills and can prioritise workloads effectively
• Can multitask and work well under pressure
• Is flexible with working hours to provide cover for annual leave and sickness absence

Person Specification Experience

• Previous experience of working in a GP practice, healthcare setting, or customer service role is preferred. Experience using EMIS Web would be advantageous; however, full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.
