Patient Flow Support - Acute Medical Unit

A highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual is required to join our team on the Acute Medical Unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
The role of the Patient Flow Support is to assist the department with patient flow coming in and out of the Ward, escalating any delays to the relevant service leads and Site Management team.
Main duties of the job- The Patient Flow Tracker will escalate potential delays in a timely manner working closely with doctors, nurses and support staff.
- You will ideally have administration experience in a health or social care setting, excellent communication, organisation and IT skills.
- You must be able to use your initiative, be flexible in approach and work well in a busy team.
- Confidentiality and professionalism must be maintained at all times.

Person Specification Skills- Able to prioritise workload
- Able to work under pressure
- Understanding of discharge process and pathways
- Experience of working with the general public
- Experience of working well within a team
- Experience of working with medical/nursing staff
- Previous experience of working within a healthcare setting
- NVQ2 in administration or equivalent
- ECDL or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office
- Practical knowledge of PAS, Symphony systems
