We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead, to join our team at HMP Doncaster, a Category B prison located in the Marshgate area of Doncaster. HMP Doncaster is a local resettlement prison in South Yorkshire housing a male population of up to 1,145 individuals, including approximately 200 young offenders aged 18-20 years.

Hours

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, core business hours.

Salary

An annual salary of £29,264 - £33,510 depending on experience.

Candidate requirements

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer led forums, planning and delivering projects/programmes in line with patients' needs and priorities, involving patients (where possible) in project and training delivery.
• Act as a point of contact and respond to patient engagement enquiries from staff, external partners and patients. Oversee and manage the health champion peer support model, including delivering Health Champion training across the region.
• Ensure statutory and organisational requirements are met, that patient engagement activities are conducted frequently across all sites with timely evaluations, and that feedback/recommendations are communicated with patients, staff and external partners where necessary.
