Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Pastoral Manager to:- Establish and maintain an ethos of safety, resilience, and cohesion through assemblies and leading initiatives on competitions, rewards, SMSC, and PSHE (including character days).
- Provide support and advice to students to promote their social care and personal development, considering learning, health, and safety.
- Respond to and resolve relationship issues between students.
- Provide general student support, monitor attendance, behaviour, standards, and detentions.
- Follow up on attendance issues, including for targeted students, and liaise with parents as needed.
- Collect and collate incident reports, following up directly when appropriate.
- Issue, collect, and follow up on target cards for identified students.
- Contribute to pastoral support plans.
- Ensure compliance with policies related to child protection and safeguarding.
- Liaise with external agencies on behalf of the team.
- Hold GCSE English and maths at Grade C or above.
- Have experience working in a secondary school.
- Have experience in pastoral leadership.
- Use data effectively to assess and monitor student performance.
- Apply a range of strategies to influence pupil behaviour positively.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Remain positive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Be a self-motivated and enthusiastic worker.
