Pastoral Manager

Pastoral Manager - deliver excellent pastoral care to pupils, focusing on wellbeing, safeguarding, attendance and behaviour. Work under the Senior Pastoral Manager and the Knights Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities- Work within and actively promote school policies and procedures.
- Show respect for all members of the school community.
- Liaise regularly with the HOY, Safeguarding Manager and KLT regarding pupil welfare, attendance and matters of behaviour.
- Act as a contact for parents regarding pastoral matters and respond promptly to parent/carer communication.
- Apply the Academy's attendance policy, reducing unauthorised attendance and improving punctuality.
- Maintain accurate records using CPOMS and the MIS system.
- Produce regular reports for the Senior Leadership Team, teachers and heads of department.
- Keep up to date with developments in your area of responsibility and lead your own professional development with the line manager.
- Ensure consistent implementation of school and Trust policies across subject areas.
- Attend parents' evenings, health and safety meetings, first aid duties and promote equal opportunities.
- Support the Academy's commitment to the professional learning of staff.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the Principal and CEO.
- Minimum of English and Maths GCSE C/grade 4 or equivalent.
- Higher qualification relevant to the post.
- Degree in education or a management qualification.
- Level 3 Safeguarding DSL training.
- Experience working in a school or office environment.
- Substantial experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Benchmarking experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Experience using Arbor or a similar school management system.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to think on your feet and handle sensitive situations.
- Experience across a Multi Academy Trust setting.
- Curriculum knowledge and experience working in an SEN environment (desirable).
- Confident, diplomatic communication at all levels.
- Strong team player contributing to Academy development.
- Positive, collaborative 'can do' attitude.
- Professionalism of the highest order.
- Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
- £34,174 £36,898 salary (Scale 7, S).
