Overview

Join Our Family Run Independent Workshop. We are a well established, family run independent automotive workshop with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Parts / Service Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with automotive parts knowledge who enjoys dealing with customers and being at the heart of a busy workshop environment.

The Role

As our Parts / Service Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for customers while supporting the smooth day to day operation of the workshop.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and handling enquiries professionally
• Booking vehicles in for servicing, repairs and MOTs
• Preparing estimates and keeping customers updated on work progress
• Sourcing and ordering automotive parts from suppliers
• Managing parts stock and ensuring efficient parts availability
• Raising job cards, invoices and workshop paperwork
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
• Liaising with technicians, suppliers and customers to ensure smooth workflow
• Delivering exceptional customer service at all times

Essential Qualifications

• Previous experience within the automotive industry
• Good automotive parts knowledge and experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
• Confident using computer systems and workshop management software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous Service Advisor or Service Reception experience
• Experience within an independent garage or workshop environment
• Knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and MOT processes
