Save the Children UK has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and community focused individual with extensive partnerships experience to join us as our Participation and Partnerships Manager where you will work with local partners, children and families in Glasgow.
Please note: Regular travel in and around Glasgow is required for this role with 2-4 days per month in our Edinburgh office.

About the role
As Participation and Partnerships Manager , you will work directly with families and local organisations, building strong partnerships and delivering local area strategies that help shape national policy and influence systemic change. You'll manage local projects, support community partners, and amplify the voices of children, parents and carers-ensuring their experiences inform everything we do through developing strategic partnerships and develop impactful local area strategies.
In this role, you will:
- Build trusted partnerships across Glasgow communities and lead collaborative, place-based strategies.
- Work closely with local partners to co-develop solutions to child poverty and ensure their work feeds into national influence and advocacy.
- Engage directly with families to shape projects and policy - from local innovation initiatives to national campaigns.
- Coordinate delivery networks and support partners with funding, capacity building and ongoing support.
- Innovate new ways to amplify community voices and ensure their perspectives influence decision-making at all levels.
- Gather insights, learning and evidence to strengthen practice and contribute to organisational learning and fundraising.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- A background in community engagement or partnership work - ideally with a strong network in Glasgow.
- Experience co-developing projects with families or community groups, especially around tackling poverty or improving outcomes for children.
- Confidence working within systems change frameworks or place-based approaches.
- Strong project management and planning abilities, with a focus on collaboration and impact.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills - with the ability to bring people together and maintain trust.
- Commitment to Save the Children's vision, mission and values.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.
Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.
