The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Partnership Team as a Partnership Officer. Partnership Officers support the work of the Herefordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership and Herefordshire Safeguarding Adults Board, to promote effective multi-agency working to keep children, young people and vulnerable adults safe.

The day to day work is varied and includes managing projects, preparing agendas and papers for multi-agency meetings, creating data reports, coordinating multi-agency audits, case reviews and quality assurance exercises, providing advice and support on policies and procedures, and being in constant communication with Chairs and external partners. You will also support the Partnership Team in all its functions, including the delivery of the multi-agency training programme and events, maintaining policies and procedures, administration, and communication tools. You will work closely on a daily basis with a range of external partners.

While the Partnership Officer will need to understand and support both the children's and adults' partnership agendas, this role is predominantly focussed on support for the Safeguarding Children Partnership and coordinating quality assurance activity.

Come and join us on our Restorative Journey of Improvement to gain the best for children and families in Herefordshire.

About You

We are looking for an experienced individual who is confident working in a multi-agency context, a strong understanding of safeguarding for adults and children, excellent communication, analysis and organisational skills, and a high level of capability with IT systems. You will have a passion for quality assurance activity, including maintaining datasets and facilitating case auditing, and a high level of attention to detail. You will work well with other people, be diligent and proactive, and able to prioritise a busy work programme, deliver under pressure, and be accountable for your work.

You will also have specific knowledge and working experience of the statutory responsibilities and arrangements around safeguarding adults and children and hold a relevant degree or professional qualification in health, social care, education, policing, community safety or relevant associated partnership subject.
