Job Description

ROLE: Partner - Contentious Probate Solicitor

LOCATION: Sheffield, Nottingham or Lincoln

SALARY: Competitive based on Experience

HOURS: 9am - 5.15pm Monday to Friday

Sills & Betteridge LLP is seeking an experienced Partner level Contentious Probate Solicitor to join and help shape a growing and high demand practice area. This is a strategic appointment, reflecting both the volume of work already in place and the firm's long term commitment to developing contentious probate as a core specialism.

With a strong existing caseload and increasing client demand, this role offers the opportunity to lead, influence and grow the department, working alongside a collaborative and supportive partnership.

The role can be based in Sheffield, Nottingham or Lincoln, offering flexibility across our regional footprint.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a complex and varied contentious probate caseload
  • Advising clients on inheritance disputes, estate challenges and trust litigation
  • Contributing to the strategic development and growth of the contentious probate offering
  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues within the team
  • Playing an active role in business development and client relationship management
Qualifications
  • A senior contentious probate solicitor operating at, or ready for, partner level
  • Ideally an ACTAPS member or working towards membership
  • Commercially minded with a genuine interest in growing a specialist practice
  • Collaborative, approachable and values led in your leadership style
