The University of Oxford is recruiting a Part Time Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research (OxCEMR). This role focuses on advancing interdisciplinary research into emerging mental health challenges, with particular emphasis on young people's mental health, prevention strategies, and early intervention approaches.
The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects within OxCEMR, supporting the design, implementation, and analysis of studies related to mental health and wellbeing. The role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and external partners, contributing to publications, policy relevant outputs, and dissemination of findings.
Key responsibilities include conducting high quality research, managing and analyzing quantitative and/or qualitative data, supporting grant applications, and assisting in the coordination of research activities. The postholder may also be involved in stakeholder engagement, including working with policymakers, practitioners, and community organisations.
This is a part time position, offering an excellent opportunity for researchers seeking flexible working arrangements while contributing to impactful mental health research. The appointment is fixed term and aligned with the duration of the funded project.
Eligibility Criteria- PhD (or close to completion) in psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience, public health, social science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated research experience in mental health or related fields.
- Strong academic track record with evidence of research outputs.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
- Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of mental health research, particularly in young people or emerging mental health issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders or translating research into practice/policy is desirable.
£36,024 to £44,263 per annum (pro rata for part time)
