Kanny - Part Time (30 Hours per Week)

Starting ASAP, a friendly family in Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire is looking for a warm, nurturing, and proactive nanny for their 2 year old daughter. The role will include caring for the child during nursery hours, occasional sole care of the baby once born, and supporting the family's balanced approach to education and play.

Responsibilities

• Provide general care for the baby and the toddler, ensuring a safe, happy, and stimulating environment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of children's areas (kitchen, bedroom, playroom, etc.).
• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals and snacks, create meal plans, batch cook, and assist with weaning.
• Make and sterilise bottles; handle children's laundry.
• Attend local toddler groups and activities, promoting social development.
• Manage occasional holiday travel overseas or within the UK if desired.
• Drive safely with a clean licence; a car will be provided for work duties.
• Assist with light household chores to keep rooms tidy at day's end.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum two years of nannying experience.
• Current enhanced DBS certificate and a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Two professional references, including a current or last employer, immediately contactable.
• Experience caring for newborns is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of weaning and child nutrition.
• Reliable driver with a clean licence; a vehicle will be supplied.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a love of dogs.

Hours and Pay

At least Tuesday and Thursday, 08:00-18:00, with an additional ten hours to be agreed across the week, totalling 30 hours per week. Overtime will be paid at £18 per hour. Initial annual gross pay of £28,080, with mutual agreement for overtime.
