Part time Fitness Tutor and Assessor

Location: London

Salary: £26,000-£30,000 Pro Rata plus Bonus (£2K - £5K)

Working Days: Saturday to Monday

Overview: Focus Fitness is a leading fitness education provider offering a range of courses accredited by CIMSPA, Active IQ and recognised by employers in the leisure sector. Since 2011, it has been run by ex professional footballers and provides opportunities for people from all backgrounds to build a career in fitness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess high quality courses according to standards, awarding organisations and inspection expectations, creating a memorable and effective learning experience.
• Ensure full compliance with planning and evaluation requirements including lesson plans and schemes of work, employing differentiation strategies and techniques in all sessions.
• Guide learners through their portfolio to enable them to complete units accurately and on time.
• Track all written and practical assessments, collate evidence of student achievement for verification.
• Monitor learners' Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), ensuring reviews are actioned as per the timetable and all ILP paperwork is completed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience of teaching and delivery in various settings, including sport and exercise.
• Approachable, fair, and with a great sense of humour.
• Excellent presentation, communication and ICT skills.
• Level 2 Gym Instructor QCF qualification.
• Level 3 Personal Training QCF qualification.
• Minimum Level 3 Award in education and training.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Optional qualifications:
• Level 2 / 3 / 4 in Delivering, Information, Advice and Guidance (desirable).
• Level 3 Assessor award (desirable).
• Level 3 / 4 SEN Qualification (desirable).
• Level 4 IQA Qualification (desirable).
