Part-Time Behaviour Support Assistant

A supportive primary school in Gateshead is looking for a resilient and patient Part-Time Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils who need additional help with engagement and behaviour.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to gain experience in behaviour, SEN, or pastoral support, while working flexibly.

The role is part-time, term time only, working between 8.30am and 3.30pm.

The Role

You will support pupils who may need additional guidance to stay focused and engaged throughout the school day.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working 1:1 or in small groups
• Encouraging positive routines and engagement
• Helping pupils feel safe and supported
• Working closely with teachers and support staff
