Job Description
Training Coordinator

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands
Salary: National Minimum Wage (UK legal minimum - age dependent)
Job Type: 25-30 hours

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Training Coordinator to join our HR & Training team in Halesowen. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and administration of all company training activities.

You will ensure training is delivered efficiently, records are accurately maintained, and all compliance requirements are met across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update training matrices for all branches
  • Coordinate training from planning through to completion
  • Book training courses and issue joining instructions
  • Manage training records, certificates, and logs (CIPHR system)
  • Process invoices and support training cost control
  • Apply for grants and funding to reduce training costs
  • Support apprenticeship programmes and Apprenticeship Levy administration
  • Arrange NVQs, CSCS cards, and renewals
  • Produce reports for audits, tenders, and management
  • Liaise with managers, subcontractors, and training providers
  • Take minutes at quarterly safety meetings
  • Monitor subcontractor training compliance and approvals
What We're Looking For
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in training coordination (desirable)
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship funding and grants (advantageous)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in construction-related training (preferred)

Pay Information

This role is paid at the UK National Minimum Wage in accordance with government legislation. Pay will vary depending on age and eligibility under UK minimum wage bands.
