Part Time Accountant - Christchurch - £36-40,000 pro rata

A Part Time Accountant is being recruited for a long established family business based in Christchurch. The role is stand alone offering 20 hours a week and whilst these would need to be office based, the company will offer flexibility on how these are worked.

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and Sage 50 Payroll is essential.
• Oversee the organisation's bookkeeping processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain organised records of all financial documents and transactions for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Management accounts preparation, VAT returns
• Support the implementation of new accounting systems or updates to existing software to improve efficiency.
• Provide detailed financial reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Dealing with bad debt accounts, including disposal of goods where required

• Previous experience of preparing management accounts, financial analysis, cash flow, VAT, bookkeeping and payroll is essential
• Knowledge of Sage 50, Xero and good Excel.
• Experience of systems implementation an advantage
• Qualified or Qualified by Experience
