OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE JOB

J.S. McCarthy is now recruiting for qualified Painters & Decorators for our long-term contracts nationwide. JS McCarthy aims to provide permanent long-term employment and we provide all necessary training and development for our employees to carry out specialist contracts. JS McCarthy carry out commercial & industrial painting contracts throughout a broad range of industrial sectors with clients that have awarded multiyear contracts to carry out all their painting and decorating on site. With over 145 years of experience in the Irish market, we have earned a reputation for performing very high-quality work, safely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

If you possess the relevant qualifications and experience, we want to hear from you. Please see the specifications of the role outlined below:

• All work to be completed in accordance with JS McCarthy Safety, Quality & Environmental Standards.
• Surface preparation by various means & filling.
• Application of specialist coating by brush, roller, to a very high standard.
• Experience in specialist two pack coatings preferable but not essential.
• Experience in commercial & industrial painting contracts preferable.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Completed FAS Painting & Decorating Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in similar position.
• Good working knowledge of English is preferable.
• Completed Health and Safety training would be an advantage.
• Minimum B Class driving licence an advantage.

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT

While we are recruiting for long term contracts in Cork, Dublin & Limerick, the candidate must be prepared to travel from time to time as the work can be based nationwide.

RATES OF PAY AS PER CONSTRUCTION SEO, OVERTIME PAID AT 1.5 & DOUBLE TIME
