University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us as a Paediatric Consultant in Sleep Medicine.
This is a permanent contract with a start date to be confirmed.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for someone experienced in managing neurological and respiratory sleep disorders. The successful applicant will have completed specialty training in paediatrics, have at least 1 year WTE in paediatric sleep medicine, and have sub-speciality certification in sleep medicine.

Job responsibilitiesYou will join a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to outpatient assessment, interpretation of sleep diagnostics, and treatment of children with sleep disorders. You will also contribute to training and education within the Southampton Sleep Training programme.

Person Specification Qualifications, Training & Experience- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- GMC registration in paediatrics with a licence to practise
- Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health
- APLS certification or equivalent
- Level 3 training in child protection
- Minimum 12 months WTE experience in a tertiary sleep service
- Qualification in sleep medicine
- Appropriate knowledge base and clinical judgement
- Evidence of participation in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
- Qualifications in teaching, management, or research
- Experience in audit, quality improvement, management, and research
- Knowledge and clinical skills in paediatric sleep medicine
- Ability to interpret sleep studies
- Experience managing safeguarding concerns
- Evidence of effective multi-professional team working
- Understanding of equality and diversity

Salary: £109,725 to £145,478 depending on experience.
