Account Director - Packaging Management

A leading print management company is searching for a proactive Account Director to head up one of their packaging divisions.

As the leader of the account management team, the role of Account Director is critical to driving client outcomes and overall company success. The incumbent will build a team of well trained account management professionals to guide clients through the implementation of their packaging projects. Candidates must have previous experience leading high calibre account management teams within the packaging industry.

The account management team and its leader play a critical role in supporting the growth goals of our client. We therefore need someone with experience of P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning and optimisation. You must be an energetic leader who can bring structure and definition that enables client services scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a culture of accountability toward client outcomes within print/packaging management services
• Oversee and organise account management teams
• Recruit, train and develop high quality talent
• Build onboarding and training programs to develop staff competencies
• Develop measurement methods and standards for service delivery effectiveness, efficiency and quality
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to model capacity and resource needs to develop staffing forecasts
• Manage team to financial targets and client project profitability
• Serve as key internal escalation point for implementation related issues
• Define repeatable service delivery processes and toolset to improve client experience and service team efficiency
• Collaborate with internal peers to ensure alignment on incoming demand, priorities and projects
• Work with client teams to identify and mitigate project risks and ensure 100% customer satisfaction

Qualifications

A background in packaging sales will be highly advantageous as there are many opportunities to upsell within our client's packaging accounts.

We seek a candidate who is resident in the United Kingdom and has recent experience in the print, packaging or paper sectors.
