Sir Robert McAlpine has secured aprestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art BatteryManufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includesthe design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion batteryfacility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide externalworks.
This Package Manager role will belooking after work packages within the infrastructure team as partof our £800m project.

The Package Manager role -Infrastructure:
Reporting to theInfrastructure Project Manager you will be a responsible for themanagement of trade-contractor packages within the infrastructureand substructure team, leading a team of engineers andsubcontractors to deliver the project to the highest possiblestandard of safety and performance.We are lookingfor someone who;
- Takes ownership of their packageand ensures all works are planned, safe, and the site within theirpackage area is clean and organised.
- A 'boots on the ground' mentalityto promote a culture of safety leadership and ensure all works arebeing carried out as planned andsafely.
- Plans and oversees all logistical requirements withintheir package, liaising the Works Manager and LogisticsContractor. Produces short-term programmes andphase plans to accelerator works or mitigate issues to ensureon-time delivery in line with the acceptedprogramme.
- Progress monitoring and performance, planned vs. actual,metrics, and understanding trends arising, and reporting programmeimplications to the Project Manager and packageplanner.
- Collaborates with other members of the infrastructureteam and thinks of the 'big picture'.
- Responsible for the technicalaspects and compliance of the package with the contract documentsand construction issue, specifications anddrawings. Reviews and approves Inspectionand Test Plans. Conducts and records qualityinspections using FieldView. Manages technical submittals andrequests for information within their packagescope.
- Ensures the package meets their requirements with respectto scope of works and sub-contract requirements and understandsSRMs obligations. Records key events andactivities. Promotes and encourages the SRMBuild Sure culture.
