Overview Our client, a leading fruit grower, packer, and exporter with operations across the Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Pack Line Manager to join their team at a state-of-the-art pack house near Piketberg.

This family-owned company specialises in exporting premium citrus and table grapes to international markets, including the UK. With seven farms across the Western Cape and decades of industry experience, they offer a stable working environment with steady growth opportunities.

As Pack Line Manager, you will be a key member of the packing management team, overseeing a complete shift to ensure production excellence, quality standards, and team performance. This is an immediate opportunity for a production-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Location: Pack house approximately 10km north of Piketberg

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule packaging operations for your designated shift
  • Ensure optimal pack-out percentages are consistently achieved
  • Maintain rigorous quality control and food safety standards in compliance with export requirements
  • Lead, motivate, and manage shift teams to drive performance and engagement
  • Oversee time management and production efficiency across the packing line
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the packing management team to meet production targets
Onderwys & Sertifisering:
  • Graad 12 (Matriek)
  • Relevante tersiêre kwalifikasie (bv. B.Agric, B.Tech Prosesingenieurswese, Voedseltegnologie, of soortgelyke tegniese kwalifikasie)
Ervaring:
  • Minimum 5 jaar ondervinding in 'n soortgelyke verpaklyn- of produksiebestuurrol
Tegniese Vaardighede:
  • Rekenaarvaardig met vaardigheid in MS Office
Taal:
  • Volledig vaardig in beide Afrikaans en Engels (geskrewe en gesproke)
Beskikbaarheid:
  • Bereid om onreëlmatige ure, nagskofte en verlengde ure te werk soos vereis gedurende spitsverpakkingsseisoene

Requirements Education & Certification:
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., B.Agric, B.Tech Process Engineering, Food Technology, or similar technical qualification)
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar pack line management or production management role
Technical Skills:
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office
Language:
  • Fully proficient in both Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
Availability:
  • Willing to work irregular hours, night shifts, and extended hours as required during peak packing seasons

Vergoeding: R450,000 - R CTC/ R300,000 - R350,000 netto per jaar
