Outreach Tutor

Remedy Tutors are looking for Outreach experienced tutors, teachers who are looking for flexible and rewarding work with a rewarding schedule in Orpington and surrounding areas.

This Outreach tutor role involves:

• working with children that may have SEN and providing face to face support to children at their homes or a local centre e.g., town hall, library or a centre;
• planning lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills;
• planning and delivering engaging sessions;
• applying skills to raise pupils' confidence;
• managing children with challenging behaviour;
• tracking the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and providing monthly reports;
• potentially engaging in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student;
• learning about visuals to communicate in some cases.

The work is fitted around your availability.

Experience working with students and a valid enhanced child workforce DBS are both essential.
