This position is in the Department of Surgery, which ensures the care of patients both electively and in emergencies. It represents a center of excellence, not only in Switzerland but also in Europe in several fields and in many of its surgical specialties.Nurse in septic orthopedics - 90%You will join unit 5ABCL, specializing in septic orthopedics, to provide care for patients in the pre and post-operative phases presenting with septic conditions or surgical affections of the locomotor system. The presence of associated chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, or addictive behaviors requires complex care management and excellent clinical analytical skills. You will closely collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (physiotherapist, SPCI, ISC in diabetology and addictology) and ensure precise and rigorous communication. You will adopt a confident position towards the surgeons to ensure quality care within a human-sized team, providing nursing care autonomously by agilely combining highly technical skills and strong qualities. You will actively and responsibly participate in the safety of patients by rigorously applying precautionary measures to prevent the transmission of agents. With a patient-centered approach and an awareness of each individual's uniqueness, you will provide care for patients and amputees with a lot of kindness and compassion. You will support them in the technical aspects of care, but also, thanks to your teaching skills and therapeutic competencies, towards a new rehabilitation. In parallel, you will improve your skills in managing complex septic dressings and TPN (Therapy with Pressure through a suction method), proposed by the septic orthopedic treatment room, with which you will work hand in hand. You will demonstrate curiosity about the evolution of procedures and be capable of feedback, participating in the supervision and clinical teaching of nursing staff and collective efforts to promote the quality of care.You possess a Bachelor's degree in nursing or an equivalent title recognized by the Red Cross, have professional experience, and have a sharp sense of priority management and stress. Your interpersonal skills and calm demeanor allow you to set the limits of what is acceptable in a professional environment. You demonstrate emotional intelligence to face certain complex or additional situations.You will ensure day, night, and weekend shifts according to the needs of the department.
