  • Total Indicative Remuneration Salary MD-2 $365,798 - $713,692 (subject to private practice agreement)
  • Permanent part-time working 15 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Consultant Specialist - Perioperative Medicine to join our dynamic team. In this newly established role, you will provide high-quality perioperative medical services with a focus on high-risk patients, supporting the QEH Orthopaedics Unit. You will play a key role in integrating perioperative care into a new and evolving model of care, ensuring excellence in clinical outcomes and continuity of patient management in line with CALHN and FRACP standards.

As part of this role, you will actively contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, support quality improvement initiatives, and engage in service planning and development. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead perioperative care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to innovation and best practice.

About You

You're a dedicated and experienced medical professional with a strong foundation in perioperative care and a passion for delivering high-quality patient outcomes. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to clinical excellence, continuous learning and patient-centred care.

Registered Medical Practitioner with RACP Fellowship or equivalent

Proven expertise in perioperative care and clinical decision-making

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach

Committed to quality improvement, teaching, and patient advocacy
