Optometrist - Farnborough Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Optometrist to join a dynamic healthcare team in Farnborough. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality eye care in a supportive environment where clinical excellence and customer experience are the top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including sight tests and contact lens fittings
• Deliver extended clinical services, including the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions
• Work collaboratively with the Dispensing Optician Manager to maintain high departmental standards
• Support and mentor colleagues through training and coaching
• Provide an exceptional patient experience through strong clinical and interpersonal skills
• Contribute to the development and expansion of patient services
• Clinical Development & Support
• Structured Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme
• Protected time to complete further accreditations
• Full support to gain extended service qualifications (e.g. MECs/WECs)
• Opportunity to supervise and mentor students (optional)
• Ongoing support from in-store, regional, and central teams
• Working Hours
• Monday to Saturday
• 9:00am - 5:30pm
• Flexible working patterns available
• Requirements
• Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
• Registered performer with the NHS (or relevant health board)
• MECs/WECs accredited, or willingness to gain accreditation within 12 months
• Up-to-date or on track with CPD requirements
• Strong commitment to patient care and service excellence
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to provide clinical references and NHS performer list evidence
