Job Overview

Optometrist - Part time permanent role with Asda Opticians, Washington. Shift: Days, 8 hrs per week. Competitive salary plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Complete eye examinations, contact lens, and extended service examinations.
• Work alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to provide training, coaching and maintain departmental standards.
• Deliver NHS extended services and support additional accreditations as needed.
• Support professional development and CPD programmes.
• Optionally supervise GOC registered students.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist, registered with the GOC.
• Registered performer with an NHS area team or health board MEC/WEC accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months - funded).
• On track to meet statutory CPD points requirement.
• Evidence of right to work and membership on the NHS performer list.
• Two clinical references; evidence of WECS accreditation and WGOS module accreditation if applying in Wales.
