I'm currently working with a well-established high-street optical multiple looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join their team in a slightly different role, working across three practices in the South East.
If you enjoy variety, meeting different teams and patients, and don't necessarily want to be based in the same practice every day, this could be a great opportunity.

The Opportunity

This is essentially a mobile Optical Assistant position, providing support across three established practices depending on where you're needed.

You'll become a familiar face across all three locations, working alongside different teams while still having the stability and security of a permanent, full-time position.

They're looking for someone confident, adaptable and happy to get stuck in - someone who can walk into a practice, quickly settle into the team and provide a great service to patients.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

" Dispensing and helping patients choose suitable frames and lenses
" Pre-screening and supporting the clinical team
" Spectacle adjustments and minor repairs
" Providing excellent customer service throughout the patient journey
" Supporting with general practice duties
" Working towards practice targets and delivering a strong commercial service
" Providing additional support across all three locations when required

About You

This would suit an Optical Assistant who already has good experience within a busy optical environment and is confident working fairly independently.

Ideally, you'll be:

" An experienced Optical Assistant
" Confident dispensing to a range of patients
" Friendly, approachable and patient-focused
" Adaptable and comfortable working with different teams
" Reliable and well organised
" Commercially aware while still putting patient care first
" Happy travelling between three practices across the South East
" Looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with some variety

Hours & Package

The role offers:

" Salary of 28,000+ depending on experience
" Full-time, permanent position
" 5 days per week
" One weekend day included
