Operator - Day shift

Enjoy working with your hands and a real stickler for details? Our team St-Germain needs you as an Operator! Your main role will be to make the parts that go into our high performance farm equipment!

Duties and responsibilities

• Operate various machines to perform cutting, boring, drilling or bending operations according to plans and established tolerances
• Read technical drawings, diagrams and work to be performed
• Lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates
• Set up the machine and choose the right dies
• Perform bending and cutting operations using laser, plasma or computer assisted shears
• Grind and polish parts
• Inspect the quality of parts based on requirements
• Verify the quantity to produce based on the production order
• Use overhead cranes, jib cranes or other lifting equipment
• All other related tasks
• Compressed schedule to take advantage of Friday afternoons off
• Up to 5 weeks of vacation per year, including 3 weeks of vacation upon being hired
• Demonstrate autonomy, precision, and diligence
• Have good reasoning skills
• Possess an overhead crane operator card (asset)

Qualifications

• Attestation of Vocational Studies (AEP) in production equipment operation or equivalent field
• Comfortable working with CNC equipment (asset)
