Job Title: Operations Team Manager

Location: Exeter

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 DOE + Uncapped Bonus

Hours: Full Time, Office Based

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Team Manager to join a growing organisation based in Exeter.

This position is ideal for a motivated people leader who enjoys driving performance, developing teams and creating a positive working culture.

You will be responsible for leading an established team, monitoring performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring operational objectives are achieved. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will play a key role in developing people, improving processes and contributing to long term business success.

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for a hands on manager who enjoys balancing people leadership with commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing operational team.
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Drive performance against key business objectives and targets.
  • Monitor team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development and progression of team members through regular coaching and feedback.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse performance data and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, productivity and overall team performance.
  • Support change initiatives and encourage best practice across the team.
  • Work collaboratively with wider departments to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure high standards of service and operational excellence are consistently maintained.

  • Previous people management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Experience managing performance and driving results.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Experience working with KPIs, targets or performance metrics.
  • Confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
  • Ability to motivate, influence and develop others.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
