Operations Supervisor

Location:

Eccles, Manchester

Hours:

47.5 hours per week (flexibility required due to the nature of the role)

Pay:

£16 per hour

Due to company growth we are looking to appoint an experience Operations Supervisor to join our Manchester Depot. Working closely with the Depot Manager, you will be responsible for meeting SLA's and KPI's.

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor in support of our Eccles Depot. This role requires you to work closely with the Depot Manager and operatives to ensure the smooth running of works within the field and on site.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and coordinating the activities of the engineering team to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Being the first point of contact for the operatives and supporting them with problem solving for any drainage related issues.
  • Customer/Client interaction- providing timescales and being a contact to answer any questions or queries they may have
  • Perform Health & Safety audits on-site and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Ensure that the team has the necessary equipment, information, and resources to complete work efficiently and safely.
  • Assisting in managing the company's vehicles and plant within the depot, ensuring they are properly calibrated, serviced, and maintained.
  • Maintain the fleet and equipment in a condition that reflects the company's professional image and commitment to Health & Safety.
  • Oversee the efficient scheduling of work to maximise productivity and asset usage.
About You:
  • Previous experience in drainage or utilities is preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of field-based engineers.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritise tasks effectively to optimise workflow and asset usage.
