Operations Supervisor, Time Critical Logistics

Location: Heathrow (UB7)

Salary: £40,000 + bonus

Hours: 42.5 per week (early start with flexibility)

We're working with a fast-paced, growing logistics operation near Heathrow that specialises in same-day, time-critical and urgent transport solutions.

This is not a standard "planner" role.

We're looking for someone who has run a live transport desk, thrives under pressure, and can make fast, accurate decisions in a real-time operations environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing live, time-critical transport movements across the UK, ensuring urgent deliveries are executed efficiently and without delay.

• Running a live same-day / time-critical transport desk
• Managing urgent and dedicated vehicle movements in real time
• Handling escalations, failures, and high-pressure situations
• Supporting and leading operators/planners on shift
• Making quick, commercially sound decisions under pressure
• Working closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams

What We're Looking For

• Same-day courier / express logistics
• Time-critical / AOG / urgent freight
• Road freight operations with live dispatch environments

Essential experience

• 5+ years in same-day courier or time-critical logistics
• Proven experience running a live transport desk
• Strong understanding of UK road freight, routing, and vehicle types
• Experience in urgent / air freight / AOG movements (highly desirable)

Working Hours

• Typically early start (6am-7am) - (Mon - Fri)
• Flexibility required to cover occasional later shifts (9am / 10-11am starts)
