Discover more about our culture and approach here: Job Description Summary: Reporting to the Head of Operational Procurement, the Operations Procurement Specialist plays a key role in managing procurement activities for the company to ensure the delivery of a long-term O&M strategy and associated procurement activity, supporting the operational assets in the portfolio, with a specific focus on the procurement of critical parts and materials. Job Description: Core Responsibilities: Sourcing, negotiation and placement of parts agreements and related critical frameworks. Conducting strategic tender activity for requirements directly supporting the operational assets in the portfolio. Supporting procurement activities in the other procurement departments, as required - growth and operational procurement. Manage vendor relations from tendering and selection, to contract negotiations, awarding, and subsequent management. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster and enhance relationships with key internal stakeholders. Offer guidance to other departments concerning assets procurement activities. Policies & Systems: Provide support in reviewing and improving the prevailing procurement processes, policies, practices, and systems. Reporting & Data analysis support: Assist with relevant Operations procurement reporting and data analysis. Qualities and Skills: Track record in procurement, preferably in assets, strategic or O&M Procurement with a commercial mindset, excellent negotiation skills, a keen understanding of the industry's dynamics, and the ability to foster and maintain relationships. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid working relationships and work across functions in a professional environment. Experience of P2P process and ERP systems Ability and track record of reporting incl. tracking of procurement function KPI's and development thereof Procurement experience which includes establishing new supply chain options for the supply of bespoke parts and risk items. Experience of working with logistics suppliers including the management of third-party transportation companies and customs agents, with a strong understanding of incoterms and global freighting principles. Contract / Legal understanding: solid understanding of key contractual terms and applying appropriate contract strategy / risk mitigation measures during contract negotiations.
