Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for day to day and strategic management of the Assembly and Moulding production areas, ensuring processes comply with company policies while delivering on Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost. They drive long term planning and operational excellence-implementing 6S, SQDC, Lean principles and Principle Based Management-and lead continuous improvement initiatives to meet company goals and KPIs. As a key member of the Operations Team, they provide regular updates at the monthly CDPE meeting with site management and PMC senior executives and engage business leaders to sustain performance and accountability.

What You Will Do
  • Establish and coordinate procedures for planning, controlling and executing workgroup activities, including production scheduling and manpower planning, with adjustments as needed.
  • Design, install and maintain information systems to collect, store, analyse and retrieve data; update operations KPIs weekly and lead KPI review meetings.
  • Set up robust internal communication and consultation channels to enable feedback, issue escalation and two way communication across teams.
  • Drive Operational Excellence and lean/visual management across value streams, embedding "Right First Time" principles to reduce rework and waste.
  • Continually monitor operational systems and schedules, implement cost effective process changes, set performance targets and act on negative trends.
  • Lead and track continuous improvement programs (e.g., CDPE), provide problem solving leadership and allocate resources to meet revenue and EBITDA objectives.
  • Ensure full legal, regulatory and EH&S compliance; maintain and improve health & safety systems and model EH&S compliant behaviour.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities: participate in reviews of CAPAs, complaints, deviations, change control, internal audits and NCMRs to ensure corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure a robust training system, the right technical skill mix, and lead employee selection, development, coaching and performance management (including MBM, RR&E and compensation alignment).
  • Promote a positive, change ready culture aligned with Corporate Market Based Management principles, recognising achievements and remaining open to expanding duties as needed.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Educated to degree level in Operations, Engineering or Science.
  • Several years of experience in Production Management in a high volume manufacturing environment.
