Job Description
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance
  • Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve operational excellence
  • Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance
A Day in the Life

You'll lead shifts at one of our operational sites and serve as the key link between finance, safety, and operations integration teams. Your day involves meetings with different business areas, deep dives into performance and risk metrics, and preparing for varying demand levels. You'll also mentor and coach your team, providing leadership to help them excel.

About the Team

Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) teams are essential to delivering at pace. Using air, sea, road transport and advanced sortation centres, the team ensures maximum efficiency. Data capture and analysis drive key decisions, supporting Amazon's innovation and sustainability goals. Safety is paramount; all efforts prioritize people and package delivery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree
  • Experience in stakeholder management, interacting with stakeholders at varied organizational levels
  • Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading English
  • Experience analyzing data to drive decisions
  • Background in logistics, transportation, supply chain, import/export operations, or data entry/administration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
  • Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
