Operations Lead

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and rapidly growing retail and wholesale business looking to appoint a Senior Manager to join their leadership team

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Warehouse/ operational team, including performance management and team development.
• Oversee daily order processing, warehouse operations and stock management.
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems and workflows.
• Support business growth by introducing structure and driving efficiencies.
• Work closely with Directors on operational and commercial objectives.
• Use Sage, Excel and reporting tools to analyse data and support decision-making.
• Support change management as the business continues to grow.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in operations management within retail, wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or a similar environment.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced SME or growing business environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control and order fulfilment.
• Strong Excel and systems experience.
• A practical, adaptable and hands-on approach.

You will be someone who enjoys being close to the operation, understands that great leadership comes from knowing the detail, and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day involvement.
