Operations Fleet Manager

The role

We're looking for a motivated and knowledgeable leader to join our team as an Operational Fleet Manager. This incredible opportunity is based at our flagship South Elmsall Distribution Centre, E3, and is key to delivering an innovative, market-leading fleet management service across Next Distribution nationally.

Working in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, you will be instrumental in ensuring all key metrics are delivered and driving best practice.

What You'll Take On

As a leader of a small group of Fleet Team Managers, your team will be responsible for the rigorous monitoring of all transport sites, with a clear focus on:

• Strategic Fleet Management: Manage fleet procurement, asset movement, and hired fleet numbers against budget to meet peak operational demands.
• Compliance and Best Practice: Improve legal compliance and maintain policy documentation. You will manage the maintenance planner and defect register with a 100% compliance target.
• Service Excellence: Manage our supplier base to exceed agreed service levels, ensuring the 5% Vehicle Off Road (VOR) target is not exceeded and providing cost-effective support to all Transport operations.

The Drive You'll Bring

You are a driven individual with a sound knowledge of Road Transport regulations, specifically holding a Transport Manager's CPC. Your experience coaching and leading a small team to deliver operational objectives within a large, national fleet is essential for success in this role.
