Role Overview

The Operations Director is responsible for the end to end operational and safety performance across all Network Access Products (NAP) operating locations. The role leads a senior team across Site Operations, Logistics, Asset Management, and Project, capital and non capital, to meet growth, margin, customer service and sustainability targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the highest standards of safety, quality and manufacturing performance through day to day management of the Director of Site Operations and partnership with the SHEQ Director (IPE) and their teams.
• Design and implement an operations strategy and roadmap aligned to business goals, covering safety governance, quality improvement, cost management, delivery performance and capital investment.
• Translate business strategic goals into in year performance via full operational P&L ownership for annual operating plans, forecasting, budgets and measurable performance indicators across all areas of responsibility.
• Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and IPE Senior Leadership Team, providing advice and insight on operational performance, risk and investment priorities.
• Partner with the HR & Talent Director and Managing Director to establish succession and mentoring plans for the Director of Site Operations, Head of Projects & Assets and Head of Logistics, ensuring robust succession for each position, including the Director's own role.
• Ensure robust performance management systems and continuous improvement projects (LEAN, Six Sigma, TPM) are implemented in all NAP operating locations.
• Lead the Head of Assets & Projects and partner with the Finance Director (IPE) on the capital investment strategy, ensuring governance and delivery of agreed return on investment commitments.
• Drive site automation plans, engaging the Head of Assets & Projects and Director of Site Operations to maximize automation projects and opportunities for safety and efficiencies, making all manufacturing locations Future Ready.
• Lead the Head of Logistics to maximise delivery performance to customers and inter company movements, designing and delivering digitalisation programmes.
