Role OverviewOperational Trainers at Barchester provide induction and development training to approximately 4 homes and/or hospitals across a specific region. As one of the initial points of contact between Barchester and new staff members, Trainers should demonstrate passion for their role and the Barchester ethos. This position offers the opportunity to witness the skilled progression of staff from their first day through their Barchester career.
This is a home-based role requiring travel within a specific region.
Essential Requirements- C&G 7300 (or equivalent) qualification
- Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care or experience working in the social care sector
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector
- At least 2 years of training experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Coordinate and deliver induction and development training aligned with Barchester's objectives and training metrics
- Provide practical, hands-on training across various subjects
- Plan and publish training calendars
- Maintain up-to-date employee training files
- Observe workplace practices
- Arrange induction paperwork and assign buddies before a new employee starts
- Maintain regular contact with new team members, coaching and supporting as needed
- Participate in external meetings and conferences as required
- Promote learning and development opportunities offered by Barchester
- Collaborate with Home Managers to implement individual personal development plans
